No DRose fan...no question in my mind he "mailed it in" when tougher guys with more heart and will/competitive fire to compete would, and HAVE been back from pretty much every injury he's had MUCH sooner and better.

That said...WATCHING this game (and others this year) IF, and that's a BIG IF, he REALLY has dedicated himself to be the player he once was, and indeed finally DOES have said competitive fire. He can still be a force out there. He was taking it to the hole and finishing against a team that has Gobert out there protecting the rim. He doesn't have that vertical explosion he had (tho he did close out and block the last shot of the game)...but everything else is there and improved.

My money would be on him resting on his small sample sized laurels like a bitch again, looking for the next hang nail excuse in sight to run and hide from any and all possible raised expectations from his recent play.

Rose played less than 5 minutes tonight before bitching out of the game with an "ankle injury"...laziest bitch ass ***** fraud in league history. The guy has ZERO desire to earn anything. There wasn't a shadow of a doubt in my mind he was going to find ANY way possible to exit stage left after that last game.

Dude wants NOTHING to do with ANY kind of expectations or responsibility. He honestly believes in his head that 1 game "earned" him rope/time off and has no problem justifying it to himself...and idiots will continue to talk about his bravery and "what might have been" if not for all the "injuries" poor Derrick the delicate has had to endure....He's had exactly 1 MAJOR injury that I remember....and that was how many years ago now....? An injury that literally thousands of athletes across the sporting world have come back from over the years just fine from...and in MUCH less time.

And yeah, I’m aware they usually only keep you out a couple months, but considering he fucked up his other knee (and tore that same meniscus later in his career), I would say it was a serious injury for him.
