Sometimes the fridge cold isn't enough and it need to sit in the freezer for 7 minutes to get ice cold...almost form crystals

That said..I don't really drink milk often...mostly buy it when I'm making this

I don't cook with it..I actually enjoy the soup...had some last week..added sliced jalapenos and sliced mushrooms...was great..and the perfect spiciness
