It just feels like no one can stop Novak again. It's not 2011/2015 again, he was a point away from losing at Wimbledon and no longer goes entire matches without lapses but it feels like we're back to that sort of reality. It's easy to imagine him running off 4/5+ of the next several slams now, although as we know all too well things can change suddenly with the dynamic of the tour. It's amazing how much the big three gets in each others way of chasing down history, Rafa was so close to winning 5/7 slams across 17-18 but those fifth sets vs. Roger and Nole will go down in history as what prevented him from securing GOAT status. He still has time left to chip away at Roger's lead but in theory he has already missed his real chances.

FP, even if you want to disregard slam count as the be all, end all metric, there isn't a metric available that doesn't build the big three a strong case as 1-2-3 ever. Regarding the double slam, Novak will more likely than not win another French to secure it, Rafa has an outside chance at another AO title and Federer would have 3-4 FO titles if not for playing during the same era as peak Rafa.

Hate to say it, but its all but a a lock now that Djoker will also pass Pete in slams, and I still think total slams is the best way to do the ranking.

Agassi was just quoted as saying that his best couldn't beat the big three's worst.
