Seems pretty clearcut. The winner still gets the lion's share... but this would give 2nd place a bigger chunk. And 3rd place simply gets its money back.

Personally, I think it's a bit too top-heavy... which might lead to more absentee owners as the season moves on (it's one thing to sneak into the top 3 vs. winning the entire thing)... but majority rules on this.
