Chris Bosh selected by East coaches as NBA All-Star reserve
For the fourth time in as many seasons with the Miami Heat, the waiting game paid All-Star Game dividends for center Chris Bosh.
As had been the case the previous three seasons, Bosh had to wait a week after teammates LeBron James and Dwyane Wade were voted in as All-Star starters in fan polling. He earned his All-Star reserve nod Thursday when voting by Eastern Conference coaches was released.

Being selected by coaches is a better honor than getting voted in by random citizen Billy Smith from Bismarck, ND.

there are players with better stats that have not made the HOF-
maybe his rings will help him, but as of now--I don't think he would make it.

This model has an impeccable track record and according to it he's a lead pipe cinchsportswise1 wrote:WiseGuy wrote:I agree...I also lol@ people who say he won't be in the HOF.

still don't think he qualifies at this point and, as noted, players with better numbers and careers have not made it

The model is impeccable, as noted... It looks at the objective and subjective measurements and accomplishments of players who have already been inducted into the Hall and uses them as a benchmark. And accordingly it gives Chris Bosh a .09421 chance of making the Hall....sportswise1 wrote:WiseGuy wrote:This model has an impeccable track record and according to it he's a lead pipe cinchsportswise1 wrote:

Excuse me if I rely on a peer reviewed model and not the word of some random internet poster.

Bosh is in the HOF. May not be first ballot, but he's in.

Yeah, I'll just ask a question.
How many 19/9/.500 guys with two NBA championships, ten All Star selections, and a Gold medal aren't in Springfield?
I'll wait.

Re: Chris Bosh selected by East coaches as NBA All-Star rese
not sure if my reply got posted
answer: Haywood had better numbers than Bosh and there are many in the HOF who never won a ring
plus-there are others -not just centers, who had better careers
Bosh's comical inability to rebound should nullify his ability to make it
But, in retrospect, Bosh might get in after several ballots --just as some others did long after their careers ended

I also think Pau who followed a pretty similar career path and has a roughly similar game gets in.

Bosh selected to the All Star game for the 9th straight year... and he's still only 29 years old!!
lol at the insecure LeTots who say he's not a lock for the HOF.

lol it's funny to think that Joe Johnson is a 7 time all-star.
"The East reserves are highlighted by Chris Bosh of the Miami Heat, who has made nine consecutive All-Star teams.
Joe Johnson was named to his seventh All-Star team, his first with the Brooklyn Nets."
These ratings are subjective. I definitely think Chris is a HOFER . Is there such a thing as a near great? I think he's a near great. kind of like a Prime Pau.

I just think of "clank, clank, clank" when I see JJ. Seems so inconsistent to me. Maybe he just sucked consistently against the Heat, but I've never been a fan of his game.WiseGuy wrote:fsuheater wrote:Cobra Kai wrote:Congrats to Bosh on his 9th consecutive all-star selection!
