Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

These videos that only show a portion of the full event can be so misleading.
In the part of the video that was spliced together by the unbiased HuffPo, the Cop and Manager appear to be solely in the wrong here.
He could have been more compliant, but in what we see in the video, I don't have a problem with what he said/did.
We all know the whole event could have actually been much different and tell a totally different story.
But we will never know.

Needing to ID yourself is a pretty common practice in a wide range of venues... from apartments to dorms to assisted living facilities, et al.
Claiming it's selective based on race seems like a stretch to me.

Fuck how he talks or his attitude. Being an asshole isn’t illegal, trespassing is.
Any sort of argument after that requires a lack of vertebrae and low-t. Hence Abe’s existence ITT
He wasn't asked to leave for doing anything illegal.
And NOBODY is justifying him being asked to leave.
[Note: But whew... at least somebody finally acknowledges that the guy was being an asshole. That's all I needed. I win. Thanks.]
The 2nd post on the thread is somebody justifying him being asked to leave.
Clevetown...? Ha.
I have him on ignore, so I can't see his post. Has he even posted in this thread since his obvious troll attempt 28+ hours ago...

"He was removed for being an asshole." I'm sure he's allowed to use the pool now.
That's a very stupid excuse. And I aint buying it.
Emotionally invested or detached... it was a stupid comment. Own it and move on. Making flimsy excuses for it makes it worse.
I took great offense to him claiming I was more emotionally invested in this than him... and that only non-emotionally invested people can make mistakes.

The video in the OP as edited doesn't really show us that part though.AbeVigodaLive wrote:AlaskaHawks wrote:These videos that only show a portion of the full event can be so misleading.

I understand showing his ID would probably have ended the situation. But, from what we see. We just don't know.

OK... But the guy does acknowledge that he didn't give her the identification she asked for.

He showed his key and said he lived there. Maybe they have it written in the lease or bylaws he's required to show his ID or at least verbally state his address (I realize he didn't do that either).

Yeah. I believe we already acknowledged we don't know any of that.
All that being said... I still don't know what any of this has to do with the color of his skin. That's the confusing part to me.

The video states the manager has been on video before harassing black people at the pool.
Much ado about nothing, IMO.

It does? At what point... some of the dialogue is hard to make out.
