I believe Abe has a family member/close friend or some sort of deep personal connection to a cop, which (understandably) biases him towards accepting police brutality.

Rob simply places too much emphasis on societal order and not enough on moral reasoning. He's only on level 4 of moral reasoning:

In Stage four (authority and social order obedience driven), it is important to obey laws, dictums, and social conventions because of their importance in maintaining a functioning society. Moral reasoning in stage four is thus beyond the need for individual approval exhibited in stage three. A central ideal or ideals often prescribe what is right and wrong. If one person violates a law, perhaps everyone would—thus there is an obligation and a duty to uphold laws and rules. When someone does violate a law, it is morally wrong; culpability is thus a significant factor in this stage as it separates the bad domains from the good ones. Most active members of society remain at stage four, where morality is still predominantly dictated by an outside force.

It brought me many lulz, but I think it might not for most people.

Basically, Riley and I defended Black people against the shit behavior of the police, and Rob/Abe defended the police passionately, making zero sense along the way. Some other posters chipped in to LOL and LMAO at Abe.

Basically, Rob and Abe got sprayed down with man juice by 90 percent of the people in the thread.

Why is this guy the only one that posted a video of himself refusing to supply the information?

Was she acting as a policewoman or security guard ? If it's the former Mr. Holland is under no obligation to volunteer any information at all. This is still the U.S.A. and not North Korea.

And as an employee of the property, it is within their rights to remove a person from a communal area if they are causing a disturbance or being unruly. His refusal to provide identification to the officer/guard that was simply trying to do her job caused an escalated issue that he would not let go.....to the point of videoing the incident, acting in a confrontational manner, and using no discretion with how he was speaking both to the officer/guard and the manager.

His decision to not identify himself was within his rights....as was his removal within theirs.

The rest is Facebook and Twitter fodder. A massive overreaction and a disservice to real incidents of profiling....which this one was most obviously not.

IF he were fighting to further human rights, protesting an atrocity, or any other wonderful ideological thing.....then his resistance would have been founded and possibly warranted.

He was being asked for his fucking information...to prove he was a resident and not illegally using their facilities.
