The whole situation could have been defused if the security guard told Mr. Holland there has been a rash of people using the pool who are neither guests nor residents and consequently they are asking people who are using the pool for their name and address. If Mr. Holland showed attitude at that point I would join you and Rob in criticizing him.
To the retort that he could have defused the situation he was where he was allowed to be as a tenant. He had a right to feel put upon.
