No idea why you're making this specific incident about race.
There are so many opportunities to do so... as you noted. To do so on occasions such as this... is a disservice to those valid instances where racial profiling does happen.
I'll listen to arguments that the cop/guard was dumb, should have left the scene faster, et al. But that it was race-based...? There's no evidence to support this take.

It's all or nothing Abe. Gotta use it when you can.

This is essentially the stance of Rob and abe...The dude was just a bit too uppity for his own good, and needed to be taught a lesson.
Lesson taught: leave the pool area for a temporary amount of time....while we question all those white people over there and they give us their information freely, and without resistance
MLK would be appalled!
The guy immediately showed his key to prove he was a resident. Then, the property manager confirmed he was a resident...He was still removed from the pool...Yes MLK would be appalled...So is ownership of the property since the property manager was placed on administrative leave while a further investigation is conducted...

She'll be reinstated...with a raise.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

You're welcome.
But you may have lost your spot in MAGA by kowtowing to the victim-playing grievances of a poorly dressed, rude and obnoxious black man.
[Note: To be fair though, he refused to acknowledge the commands of a white woman... and not a white man... so you might still cling on the outskirts of the club. I'll have to check my cheatsheet for an official ruling.]

For the (xx)th time... it appears that EVERYBODY at the pool was asked for identification.

Except for:
“We are disappointed that we weren’t able to handle this situation in a way in which everyone felt respected and understood,” Barrett & Stokley said in a statement. “We should have communicated with all residents that we would have security on site, who would be asking for proof of residency.”

Huh?
How does that refute what I just wrote? In fact, it might support what I just wrote...

Because in the statement released by Barrett & Stokley they concede the black guy had no idea why he was being questioned.

The point that seems to be lost on you and Robby boy is the fact that it was PROVEN that he was in fact a resident, yet he was still kicked out of the pool.

The security guard and property manager could have easily defused the situation but chose not to.

I totally agree.

Whites. Blacks. Greens. Purples. Et al.
He had no idea others were asked for identification as Barrett & Stokley concede and consequently felt he was being singled out. Now we are going around in circles. I believe that is the same charge you lodged at riley martin.
With proper training for the security guard and property manager this unpleasant situation could have been avoided.

Sure. But that works both ways.
The guy could have avoided the situation entirely by answering the question. Showing a key is not proof of residency, nor what he was asked.
It's ok to rip the guard and manager if you think they didn't de-escalate the situation properly. But to do so while making excuse after excuse (some that are patently ridiculous) and absolve the guy being a boorish prick completely based off of assumptions and conjecture is pretty amusing.

He is paying the salary of the rent a cop and the property manager. The rent a cop is there to protect him and the property manager is there to serve him. They both failed in their duties.
