I don't get any dignity from trying to resist/fuck with any person holding a gun. Particularly one that likely thinks they are in charge of me.

I'll gladly comply and move on so long as I'm not being physically assaulted. I can handle words...they don't hurt...I'm not a kindergartner.
It's remarkably easy to talk shit to a cop without consequence.

I've done it on multiple occasions.

They are going to be OK with this?

OK, lets make it your front yard then.

The guy was well within his right to be where he was, and the 4th amendment protects him from having to comply with an unecessary and unwarranted papers check, especially when the property manager already confirmed he was a resident.

She verbally asked his address. No paper check.

Keep reaching....you'll get there eventually.

Again, once the property manager confirmed he was a resident, why didn't it end right there?

I've told this story before...

I was pulled over once with a buddy and the cops drew their weapons on us, put us in handcuffs and separated us as they began to ask about guns in our car. As I stood on the side of the freeway, in handcuffs, I calmly told them I didn't own a gun and they were free to search my car if they wanted. They did search the car and they didn't find a gun so the let us go. They said there was a report that we were brandishing a weapon and pointing it at people on the road. I recognized the mistake, laughed it off and went home with no further repercussions.

I feel my dignity was still intact when I got home. The cops were just doing their job and taking the necessary precautions. They were dickheads the entire time they were doing it and were even worse when they were proven wrong but why should I stoop to their level?

Because he didn't let it end. He kept on bitching about it. "I don't care to hear you talk". "Black people get killed by police". He kept right on bitching and moaning....and at that point was being unruly. The manager asked him to leave (she has other tenants to worry about as well) and he refused and became confrontational.

So, now that you're done moving goalposts...I'll accept your surrender.

GG Riley.

Something seems really odd here. I find myself agreeing with both Bush and Riley on the same topic. Don't they always disagree?

Finally watched the video. I disagree with Rob. As soon as the manager said he lives here, the cop should have just said, "Ok, thank you mam. Have a nice day sir." He can say whatever he wants after that point. It should be done.

We bond together over guns, anti-corporatism, and anti-stupid police behavior.

To be fair... the cop really didn't say much at all after the manager arrived... except to acknowledge that she did ask others around the pool the same question... up to the point where the manager kicked him out.

Still don't know what the cop/guard did wrong in this situation. The manager? Maybe a different issue.

If anyone wants a low-level example of how the Nazis continually expanded their power in pre-ww2 Germany with hardly a peer from the citizens, all you have to do is look at this thread.

Obscene displays of force will always bring out the bootlickers and people who find refuge in hiding behind the man with gun like a good little boy.

Just sayin'....

The cop should have walked away and asked others if they were residents of the pool. There was no reason for her to stick around.

I said low-level for a reason.

But some people have an instinctive distrust of state power and especially state power in *legalized violence*.

Others like Abe and Rob, are okay with it provided they aren't the ones on the receiving end.

Not good!
