Just comply. Why do black people feel the need to not comply with a cops' request?

I've been asked why I was at a certain place before. I've been asked to provide identification and answer simple questions.

Why do some folks feel the need to resist and escalate these situations?
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Robby coming in and white knighting for Abe LOL....

When the property manager came over and confirmed his residency, the interaction should have ended right there...

The guy didn't let it end right there. He kept on bitching. It could have ended LONG BEFORE the property manager arrived by simply supplying his address.

Depending on the questions you don't have to answer them. Obviously, it comes off as you being contentious but if we're going by the constitution you don't always have to cooperate. I've seen videos of people who just lower the window enough to hand the cops all the appropriate paperwork and not say a word. Technically, that's their right.

Principles?
Pride as a man?
Dignity?
Not being a bitch?

Imagine a cop pushing you around in front of your wife...would you cast your eyes downward and meekly comply with the Cop, losing her respect for you as a man...or would you stand up for yourself?

This really isn't hard.

But they do offer the appropriate paperwork, right? That's all cool.

It's not like they're handing over a takeout menu from Chin's Dynasty instead of license and registration...

A cop pushing your wife is SORTA different than a cop/guard asking for your address to prove you live there... as they're trying to crack down on non-residents using the pool.

That isn't what I said. Read more carefully.

Besides, a cop can ALWAYS jack you around if he wants to, in *full* compliance of the law, thanks to the various ambiguities and vagaries one can manipulate at any time with the state power afforded to cops.

At that point, you have to decide if you are going to be a coward or not.

You and Rob want to be cowards. That's fine. But don't expect real men to follow suit. And please don't expect Black men to tapdance their way to their ID just to make the White cop happy.

I'm operating at maybe 20 percent of my capability, and I'm still destroying you two, who are resorting to misreading (Abe) and intentionally pretending to be hyper-literal and autistic (you) to avoid my very powerful and correct points.

I'm sorry to have to tell you that.
