Still kicking the tires on a PhD
Would this be a waste of my time? Would I find even more fulfillment in my excellent life in teaching? Am I already elitist enough?

get the Phd, and get a professorship at the University of Haifa. Great weather, no akbars and blacks.

It depends greatly on the specifics, unfortunately.
In general, if you are an established and handsome professional with (I'm assuming) secret Jewish connections, there is probably some benefit to getting a masters (you can adjunct with a masters), but probably not utility to getting a PhD, all things considered.

I'm doing the same with getting a Masters. I know I should. My work pays for it. I'm just dragging my feet.

Will work always pay for it?
Back in my corporate days... my company paid for it. Then, halfway through my first semester, the company took a hit... and stopped paying for it.
Meanwhile, around that time, I went to a resort with the Gal Pal and stumbled into a "Sales Meeting" there... free booze, drink and everything else paid for by the company. I stopped in because I knew a few folks in sales. So much booze. So much waste. So much frat-boy-esque shenanigans.
They could have paid for my entire Master's program with ease compared to what they paid for one hour of drunken craziness that night. That's Reason #297 why I'd never work a corporate gig again.
[Note: As an HR guy, maybe you're safe from having tuition reimbursement taken away...]

DR. KUB has a nice ring to it.
Go for it.
Plus, it will trigger Arty.

They'd never get rid of their tuition reimbursement. It's a major recruiting perk. Especially seeing how we're located between 2 rather large universities.AbeVigodaLive wrote:Kingcarl24 wrote:I'm doing the same with getting a Masters. I know I should. My work pays for it. I'm just dragging my feet.

Much more information would be required to give meaningful advice. Probably a lot more information than you care to share.

You're already as elite as it gets, IMHO. But one extra plaque would go nice with the new office decor.

I believe 92.3% of the people who work in HR or Marketing are chicks.
I believe 93.7% of the managers in HR or Marketing are men.

Does it matter Undies? We all know Arty would know more about your job and still make more money than you do. Just like he tries to talk stocks or bonds with me. Like, not at all.

Sounds more like you’re kicking the tires on kicking the tires on a PhD.
