I’ve said all along that based on the current criteria, Ben Simmons should win it... even though Donovan as a true rookie lead a team in the west as their best player.

Did Embiid still qualify for the award too?
Maybe next season Fultz can win it?

Youngest to get a triple double will suffice for Fultz.LNS wrote:Did Embiid still qualify for the award too?

Re: Your 2018 NBA rookie of the year
MLB lets players have a certain number of at-bats/innings pitched and still be classified as a rookie the following year. You have redshirt freshmen in the NCAA. There are “first year player” equivalents in other sports that are more quirky than this. The definition of NBA “rookie” could get real blurry anyway if they eventually have draftees go through the G League before getting the call up.
PoLIEtics is for gay fags.

Nah he played games, although not many. But even one game takes you out of eligibility, IIRC.LNS wrote:PhutureDynasty wrote:Youngest to get a triple double will suffice for Fultz.LNS wrote:Did Embiid still qualify for the award too?

You obviously aren't aware of the "shooting yips" exception.PhutureDynasty wrote:Nah he played games, although not many. But even one game takes you out of eligibility, IIRC.LNS wrote:PhutureDynasty wrote: Youngest to get a triple double will suffice for Fultz.

Shit if that's the case then I'm eligible this year too.vcsgrizzfan wrote:You obviously aren't aware of the "shooting yips" exception.PhutureDynasty wrote:Nah he played games, although not many. But even one game takes you out of eligibility, IIRC.LNS wrote:

That dude needs to do nothing but work in his shot this off-season. He was awful in the playoffs.
