Which workplace allows you to openly protest while on the clock? Why should the NFL be any different? They're a business....and players kneeling during the Anthem was becoming bad for business. So that business had to get its employees in line for the betterment of the business.

This really isn't that hard to understand.

There are MANY outlets for these high profile people to make political statements. "On the clock" shouldn't be one of them.
