Randle (age 23) per 36: 21.1/11.1/3.2/55% FG

the Lakers are the last team I think about when thinking about the NBA. Lakers are a trash heap of nothingness.

Well... it did take like 3 years for them to see any kind of production out of the guy.

Personally, I like what I've seen (a lot of the time) with Randle. He brings great energy.

But this season is a bit of an outlier. He's just been better than before. Two ways to look at this...

1. He wants that next contract. Buyer beware.
2. He's improved EVERY season. For example... 33% - 43% - 49% - 55% fg in his 4 seasons. And what do we ask of every young player? We want to see them improve. Well, Randle keeps getting better for four seasons now... so it's safe to assume he could keep getting better... right?

[Note: Compare Randle to a guy like Andrew Wiggins or more famously, a guy like Glenn Robinson from another era. Those guys didn't know marked improvement over their first few years... but people kept (keep) insisting "Wait, he's still young. It's gonna happen." If it doesn't happen at a certain point... it never will.]

Good point about the contract season. But also Randle didn’t play his first season, so I’m delighted to see this development.

God damn. That was embarrassing for l3bron, but I'm a little dissappointed in Wailua's takes in that thread. Nevertheless, great foresight KUB.

Yeah, that was a bit unfair to include his shooting percentage for a whopping 3 shots. But it helped my narrative, dammit!

That thread was a great read.

Well he was right. Randle is not a good comparison to Lamar Odom. Odom was hands down the better skilled player.

Julius "21/11" Randle is so valuable to the Lakers they're willing to trade him so they don't have to pay him this summer.

And teams are so eager to sign said stud they're offering very valuable offers for him.
Julius Randle is worth 2nd round picks in today's NBA according to front offices

LOL this isn't 2010 anymore, dummy. First round picks are not exactly easy to pry away - especially not for Randle who is either a rental or a guy who is going to be getting a big offer that the team which acquires him will have to match

Weren't you super high on Payton, in addition to being down on Randle? I guess you misread that one as well. Wasn't your "thing" supposed to be college guys and the draft?
