so lebrons 2 sidekicks are finals mvps and champions as the best players on their own team WITHOUT lebron
do people here realize shaq and gasol never did that without Kobe
infact without kobe ....Pau is 0-16 lifetime as the #1 option and Shaq has 1 sweep and a 3rd option role player ring with Miami ( antoine walker averaged more points in the finals )
Assuming Boston wins the title this year ( which they can ) what happens to Lebrons legacy

If the Celtics make the Finals it means the Cavs didn't make it to the Finals which is better for Lebron's legacy according to many here.

it's a lose-lose for lebron. The only positive for lebron is if he wins the championship.

Heres something to add to that narrative that you dont even realize
Theres about 5 more seasons after this in which kyrie and lebron will be battling to see who makes it to the finals. So either way lebron loses big time since theres only 2 options
A) no more finals losses for lebron but kyrie wins or goes to the next 5 nba finals and destroys lebrons legacy
Or
B) lebron goes to 5 more finals and likely ends up 3 for 13 (shattering jerry wests record for finals futility )

I think the Celtics are a couple players away from giving GSW a series. They need Hayward to be healthy for one, and they probably need someone like Jae Crowder (what he was in Boston, not his current iteration).
Thought Guerschon Yabusele would pan out, but he hasn't shown much yet.

theyre better without hayward to be honest. if he was on the team theyed be trying too hard to get kyrie and hayward 20-25 each and go away from the team game
this team is perfect the way it is. and haywards injury will end up being a blessing because he'l be forced to come back slow and work his way back up to being allowed that many shots
as for matching up with the warriors i think their team defense and ball movement would be a good test for them. like you said the only thing they have to worry about is having a guy that can match up with durant. but i think theyel be going more through curry this time to get him his first finals mvp since they won't feel like the celtics are a worthy matchup. ultimately costing them in the process
