OKC hasn't been rebuilding for the past 5 seasons. The Magic traded away what appears to be their best young player....simply because their old GM sucked at making moves and evaluating talent.

I thought that draft was very weak at the time... but had Oladipo atop my wish list.
The Wolves obviously didn't move up... so they never had a realistic shot at him. That draft looks slightly better now (Giannis!)... but still wasn't a very good one overall.

- Separate deals... but intertwined... and that's the net result. There's no positive way to spin it. The former Orlando GM was terrible. And that's fine... every team has a period of really bad GMs eventually.
But it's sad (and telling) that Artism tried to justify EVERY one of Hennigan's moves for multiple years. Basketball is not difficult. To be as clueless about it as Artism takes a "special" kind of person.
We have had three 40 point scorers this season....we don't need oladipo offense....he wouldn't be getting anywhere near the shots if we kept him and would be a 15ppg player

Orlando is ranked 18th in offense. That's below average.
Oladipo is averaging 25 ppg on very high efficiency.
Oh... and he'd have the highest D-Rating on the Magic... and more Defensive Win Shares than anybody on the Magic. And more Offensive Win Shares than anybody on the Magic. And a better VORP than anybody on the Magic.
Heck, he's the primary reason the Indiana Pacers have exceeded expectations so much.
