Great thread.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Jesus people can be stupid....
Re: Wearing a Kobe jersey makes you a transgender
That's liberalism for you. If you don't want to send your kids to transgender sensitivity training when they draw themselves wearing a Kobe jersey, you're a Nazi bigot and will be reported.
My children will be home schooled.

That might be a bit of a jump in logic.ripper76 wrote:That's liberalism for you. If you don't want to send your kids to transgender sensitivity training when they draw themselves wearing a Kobe jersey, you're a Nazi bigot and will be reported.

I know what the story said. In fact, I commented specifically on how stupid people can be, in reference to the teacher who made an ass of him or herself (can't recall if the teacher's gender was mentioned). It's retarded.ripper76 wrote:That's literally what happened.vcsgrizzfan wrote:That might be a bit of a jump in logic.ripper76 wrote:That's liberalism for you. The leap in logic I disagree with is the painting of this as something that would happen everywhere and the solution needs to be home schooling. It's kind of the flip side of the argument where a limited number of trigger happy policemen with questionable judgment makes left pinko crypto nutjobs think almost all policing is bad.
I had four kids go through the system just fine. One is a PhD now in medical school, one a lawyer who just finished his articles, one is a computer science graduate preparing to do his Master's degree. My fourth has struggled in school but it's not the system's fault. He'll likely attend trade school next fall. They are all well adjusted individuals and the vast majority of their peers are also.
The system is far from perfect, especially in poorer areas with lower standards and other social issues that diminish the value that should be placed on education, but it still works relatively well.
On a side note, I definitely admire people willing to make the effort to do home schooling properly. It's a tall task not to be taken lightly. But I've also seen it botched badly with kids ill prepared to take on university and with social adaptation issues.
Re: Wearing a Kobe jersey makes you a transgender
We decided long ago that we would home school, things like this just reinforce the decision. The world, the system, is different now than when you were raising kids and when I was growing up. The attempted indoctrination was pretty intense 30 years ago. It's on another level now and I would be negligent to subject my children to that.vcsgrizzfan wrote:I know what the story said. This is funny shit. What has happened to the USA? Hell I would love to buy his jersey and go burn the SOB in front of those poor folks.
