@Havlicekstealsit, are the 83 Sixers your official vote or no?Havlicekstealsit wrote:'83 Sixers had the last two MVP winners (Malone & Dr. J), the 6th Man of the Year (Jones), 2 all-defensive first teamers (Jones & Cheeks), & 4 All-stars - beating the defending champs in a Finals rematch. During the season Philly has 2 ten-plus game win streaks and came out the gates 10-1. They were 22-5 by Christmas - both marks slightly better than the 87 Lakers pace.

I agree....I count 4 votes for the 6er's at this point.

Phuture voted for the Lakers. He said he'd be voting for the Sixers NEXT round.y2ktors wrote:Myself, Elmer, Havs, Phuture, Deez = 5.Robceltsfan wrote:I agree....I count 4 votes for the 6er's at this point.

I know this poll is focused on a single season, but let's not forget that both the 83 Sixers and 87 Lakers came back with the same teams the next season.
Lakers went back/back in 88.
Sixers lost in the first round in 84.

No 97 Bulls?
Seriously?
69-13, with legendary finals performances from MJ, and Steve Kerr.

They had an excellent season but there were times where they look a little out-of-sorts compared to the season before. They were an old team that was a year older as well.dwcmwa wrote:No 97 Bulls?

Re: 2017 AG Greatest NBA Teams of All-Time #4
Idk if I'd say they looked out of sorts at any time. They were dominate from start to finish. Started 12-0 and only had 2 back to back losses all year. The biggest disapiointed was they were 68-10 and went 1-3 to end the season. Should have had back to back 70 wins. But all 3 losses did come against 54 + win teams.y2ktors wrote:They had an excellent season but there were times where they look a little out-of-sorts compared to the season before. In the playoffs they went 15-4 with their last 3 series against 56, 61, and 64 win teams.
The out of sorts comment is more appropriate for the 93 or 98 Bulls tbh
Re: 2017 AG Greatest NBA Teams of All-Time #4
Also the 92 Bulls should be a option in place of the 08 Celtics
