The Rondo Effect: It was real folks... very real

Post by thedangerouskitchen »

Games 1 and 2 with Rondo: 108.5-PPG / 25-AST / 35%-3PT
Games 3 - 6 w/Out Rondo: 90.5-PPG / 17.5-AST / 26%-3PT

((Rondo's numbers: 11.5-PPG / 8.5-REB / 10.0-AST / 2-TO / 3.5-STL))

Goes without saying that The Rondo Effect was very real... and anyone attempting to deny it is simply delusional.

That being said, Butler choked, Mirotic choked, Wade disappointed, and Hoiberg showed why he was voted worst Coach in the NBA...!

Also, give CREDIT to the Celtics! Yes, they were clearly and obviously outmatched in Games 1 and 2; however they did what they were supposed to do the rest of the series REGARDLESS of the fact that their door was blown wide-open when Rondo went down.

Lastly... I have decided to officially jump on the Celtics Bandwagon, and root for them the rest of the way.

That is all.

I didn't bench him... but yeah, that goes back to Hoiberg being voted the worst Coach in the NBA.

Clearly RR still has a LOT left in the tank, even though half the AG board laughed themselves silly when the Bulls signed him (and claimed he was over-the-hill, would be nothing but a team-cancer, et al).

Don't all you people look foolish now, eh?

The Celtics were reeling from the loss of IT's sister. Once they moved forward from that, it was all she wrote for the Bulls. Rajon Rondo was a cancer that held the team back for most of the season. The reason the Bulls got smokes is because Dwyane Wade mailed it in, and Butler doesn't make players around him better.
This Bulls team is a god damn mess, just like their fans. But, they are too stupid to fix it.

Sorry for your team's collapse due to one player going down. There is always next year. Oh, wait there is almost nothing on the roster that suggests that they will be any better. Good luck, regardless.

Hoiberg doesn't seem to be a great coach. But you can't discount the ineptitude of the Bulls front office.

1. Traded away TWO key rotation players for Cameron Payne.
2. Sat Cameron Payne behind Grant, Michael Carter-Williams AND Isaiah Canaan.

Yes... The Bulls traded TWO key rotation players for a 5th string PG.

What? Why?

Due to some sudden life circumstances, I anticipate taking a long break from the board, perhaps permanently.

Hopefully I will see you all again soon.

If it is permanent, I enjoyed the time I've spent with you all over the many years, and I wish you all the very best in your lives going forward.

TDK ALWAYS uses facts and hard-core substance... you're just blind to reality half the time, and refuse to open your eyes to the truth when I talk about certain things you disagree with. But as you acknowledged here, it's impossible to refute facts.

Great thread.
Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

Bulls in the playoffs were the same team they were all season. Completely inconsistent, playing some really good games and then looking like they would lose to the Sisters of Mercy squad the next game. They just weren't very good.

Lots of posters struggling to accept the facts:

Games 1 and 2 with Rondo: 108.5-PPG / 25-AST / 35%-3PT
Games 3 - 6 w/Out Rondo: 90.5-PPG / 17.5-AST / 26%-3PT

Rondo's numbers: 11.5-PPG / 8.5-REB / 10.0-AST / 2-TO
Five (5) backups: 12-PPG / 3.5-REB / 2.8-AST / 3.5-TO

WoW... !!
:o

Facts don't lie, folks...
