Which player is more Valuable to his team...?

I dont what you guys dont understand about numbers not being the be all end all.

Ok since you refuse to answer a very simple question, let's try a different angle: Would you agree with the notion that Player A can be more Valuable than Player B even though Player B has much better stats?

That's kind of what I've been saying. I'm not saying one or the other is better though, I'd rather watch them play and look at as many stats as possible before making a judgement

Guess I'll play along. If we're just going by the data given, player B. Making the right passes, strong on the offensive glass, and keeps opponents in check.

Nothing to play along with... it's a legit question that came up in another thread (which I noted in the OP).

The fact is many fans confuse Value with Best; assuming that a player is more Valuable because he has better Stats.

The examples I used in the OP clearly show that this is often not the case case.

I'm not asking which guy is better, though... I'm arguing that just because a player has better stats it doesn't mean he's more Valuable than a guy with inferior stats, specifically as it relates to the MVP award (which almost always goes to the guy on a top team with the best stats).

You seem a bit confused. I never said I wasn't reading your any of your posts. I don't usually read your long posts that you use to start threads with. You know, the ones where you pretend to be talking about basketball in a thinly veiled attempt to troll?

I do often read the posts later in threads where you get really angry and start sputtering, name calling, and reporting posts/boards. Those are comedy gold. No reason to waste time reading your thread starters though.

I think what the OP is trying to tell us, is that Kobe Bryant was more valuable to the 2006 Lakers than Michael Jordan ever was to any of the Bulls teams between 1996-1998.
