Ted Williams hit a home run in his final at bat. He was 41 years old.

37 year old kobe was in worse shape in a much more physically demanding sport and 40 year olds have hit 30+ homeruns in their final year

60 point games happen once in a career for most legends ( if theyre lucky to even get there ). its larry birds career high for god sake lol

1 off of lebrons

and before anyone knocks the shot attempts it was 44% and a few shots off of 50%

plus if he takes 1 less shot they lose

Only their best defensive player and rebounder and probably it's 2nd best assist guy at the time.

Russell had 6 points, 6 dimes and 21 rebounds in his final game - winning a Finals G7 on the road. Three other teammates scored 20+ points that game.

Well you being a Kobe fan. I understand why you only look at scoring.

Another one I can think of is Otto Graham, who passed & ran for 4 TDs in a NFL title game, going out a champion. He was in his mid 30s by then.

Graham probably did more than that, wasn't he a two way player and could kick or am I thinking of someone else?

He finished 7th in MVP voting that season, his lowest of his career (as voted by the players by the way) but by far the best of any Celtic and made Wilt 1-7 against him for his career in the playoffs.

After he retired, the Celtics gave up ten points more per game (after having the best defensive rating in the NBA, which happened 12 of Russell's 13 seasons) and went from championship to lottery. Russell was always the best player on his team, including the two collegiate championship years at USF that wasn't even on the map before him.
