They love looking at the Pokemon we've caught but we're struggling to prevent the youngest from evolving them or transferring them in. My wife is working on getting the Abra evolved to an Alakzam but my daughter keeps evolving her Abras.

I think favoriting them prevents transferring or evolving, unless she figures out how to undo the favorite by hitting the star.

The Halloween pokemon has been fun. I've been getting all kinds of Haunters, Gastlys, and Gengars. We were at the mall last night and we caught a Gengar and all of our kids started screaming.

I've only gotten 5-6 Ghastly/Haunter, I don't have Gengar yet. Way too many Drowzee's and Hypno's. I do like all of the candies/rewards being spiked.

I've hardly seen any Drowzees or Hypnos. Maybe 1 or 2. No more than usual. So many Gastlys though.

Yes. I caught my first Marowak just yesterday.

Interesting that they weren't advertised as part of the Halloween thing. I hope they have more fun like this planned.

I was talking to my wife about this and how it's much more fun to catch different things. This has been my issue with the game from the get go. I'm really sick of going out and 95% of everything be pidgeys, paras, and ratataas. Even though I don't need gastlys, gengars, haunters, hypnos, or drowzees anymore, it sure is more fun to see those pop up instead of the unholy pokemon trinity.

I hope they load up christmas with different cold based pokemon.

I've heard speculation that Christmas could bring Ice Pokemon, or even "gifts"/items that we don't usually get out of the Pokestop. Easter would bring more eggs or faster hatching of eggs or something.

Halloween = Candy
Christmas = Gifts
Easter = Eggs

Time will tell.
