Everyone else after those two...LeBron has ascended up this list at a rapid pace...
What saved the NBA was Stern implementing drug tests & to a lesser extent, a salary cap.
Sorry man, that is revisionist history...the cold hard truth is, Bird brought white people and Corporate America back to the game...

Yeah, but Kobe beat the Nets, 76ers and Magic!
That's a murderer's row right there.
that 73 win warriors team would get buttfucked by the 2000-2002 blazers, spurs, kings etc...
the real finals was always in the west during those years
My bad. I forgot just how good the 2001 Spurs were.
After all, Derek Anderson was the team's 2nd leading scorer. And Antonio Daniels was the 4th leading scorer at 9.4 ppg. Danny Ferry was a starter in the playoffs.

DOMINANT indeed.
they were built on defense
do you forget how good robinson still was?
2001 spurs were #1 in defensive rating for the entire league

34-year old Danny Ferry was a defensive monster for sure! Only surpassed by the 37 year old Terry Porter, 35 year old Avery Johnson and 35 year old Steve Kerr.
Antonio Daniels played about as much as the 35 year old David Robinson did. Malik Rose and Samaki Walker played 22+ minutes per game in the playoffs.

they were the #1 defensive team in the nba ( #1 defensive rating )
so what exactly are you trying to do... your best stephen a smith impressions? where you say 1 name in an odd way to insult an entire roster?

lol. i used to have kobe 6th or 7th right there with bird but i think lebron and duncan both passed them the last couple years. now i have him 8th or 9th. in order.
mj
kareem
lebron
magic
wilt
russell
duncan
kobe
bird
idk
actually, idk about duncan and kobe really. kobe had the better peak. duncan had the better longevity but he also had more stability around him. it's close. after the top 3 i think it's hard now. used to be and top 6 was easy with mj, kareem, magic, bird, russell, and wilt. then kobe moved up, then td, then lebron. now it's tough.

It happened well before that. LeBron has pretty much been considered first option/captain on his teams outside of maybe his rookie year and definitely 2011 with the Heat
Kobe, as first option/captain on the Lakers, had a pretty quiet career outside of 3yrs when LA went to the Finals. Even then he only played well in 1 of 3.

pau gasol should be pretty high on your list pretty soon too if the spurs win a title this year seeing as how you pay no attention to how big a role anyone has

does anyone even read polls anymore
this is general knowledge personified. the same criteria as jordans goat candidacy
majority rules
you can personally say you think lebron lebron passed kobe. but you can't talk about it as fact if more people disagree with you than agree with you on that subject
this poll was done AFTER the finals.... even with lebrons hype at an all time high
