Screw Melo and LeShortCut... here's my 2014-15 Bulls lineup

Starters
Rose - Youngest MVP in NBA history
Butler - Stud defender / great 2-way guy
Deng - Top 5 SF / best Defensive SF in league
Gibson - 17/9/52% as a Starter this year
Noah - Best all-around C in NBA
Bench Mob V
Mirotic - EuroSuperSensation shooting 64%/65%/88% this year
Augustin - averaging 17-PPG since Deng trade
Dunleavy - 3-point specialist
Snell - HUGE potential / upside

Easily a Championship caliber team right there. Hell, the starting unit would be the best Defensive team in the NBA hands-down... and the BMV would be better than many teams' starting lineups.

No ball hogs or pampered crybabies... just tough, hard-nosed warriors who play elite Defense and team ball. Screw Melo and LeEasyWayOut. I like this team much better.

If Rose finally gets back to top form and Deng can stay healthy, thats an EASY championship right there. However, Im not sure as trust Deng (with his age and injury history) to stay healthy.

I don't want to take another chance of possible injury-riddeled player for big money

Id like Melo if the option comes up. Melo can't play all around ball like Deng, but Deng can't light up the scoreboard like Melo can. And we need consistent go to scorers.

I assume under Thibs, Melo will be come a serviceable defensive player as well. And another thing we don't have to worry about Melo getting a ton of injuries.

Rose might take a while to get back to top form. Until then Melo can carry us far in the regular season. And Rose takes over under the post season pressure when it matters most.

Id love to have Deng again, I just wish he was younger.

What makes you think the team will be able to stay healthy given all of the injury problems that have plagued these players?

No Rose and no Deng...?? I'm still watching / rooting for the Bulls, but without those two guys it's another second-round exit at best this year.

So what are they supposed to do... forfeit the 2014-15 season? Cut the entire roster and play their D-league team?

Well, maybe acquire players who aren't as injury prone as the ones that they currently have. It seems like this core keeps getting hurt on them. I don't think I really suggested forfeiting the season, if you read my post carefully you would probably note that.

I wouldn't have a problem at all, whether its Deng or Melo.

Either way the Bulls go, they'll be Heavy Title Favorites next year.
