This is Porto's, the Most Popular Cuban Bakery on the West Coast

Post by thatoothpick45 »

I've been to the one in Burbank quite a few times and the place is pretty damn good. It isn't the slop they serve in Florida. And lets not forget, Porto's was ranked as the #1 place on Yelp in the entire country, the people have spoken.

Real Deal Cubano food. And the only place you can find it is in SoCal, the mecca of Cubano cuisine.

I went to the one in the OC a few weeks ago. Loaded up on everything from papa rellenas, chicken empanadas, croquettes, meat pies and guava pastries.

Even California’s Cuban food is better than Florida. :D

Lolololol

Yeah...seen that....
Most places don't bother to enter contests, they are too busy for that childishness...they look good but nope...definitely not the best ...numerous places here blow it the fuck away...no troll.
Don't fall for propaganda...
Thinking we have slop here immediately ruined your argument

Sorry kid but no...it wouldn't stand out at all in Florida...only reason it stands out in California is because its rare....there's places like that and better on every other block down here...seriously.

The best of everything is in California for some reason. No wonder the other states hate us so much. I’d hate Californians too if I lived in Florida or Texas or Minnesota or wherever else you poor saps call home.

Nope...sorry but that's not the best or even close to it..bread looks soggy and under toasted...wrong mustard and I don't like my pickles cut like that or that thick...seriously that ace wouldn't stand out here in Florida but in California where there's barely any competition...it makes it seem like an oasis in the Sahara...no lie...
Lol at you out of touch losers in California...you simply don't know any better...I actually feel sorry for you

And no...you DEFINITELY DO NOT have the best of everything.

By the way..you guys claim Cuban food is shit anyways so why are you all of a sudden claiming you make the best shit?

You clearly know nothing about Cuban sandwiches and it shows....
There is only one way to make.a perfect Cuban sandwich....Nd the.places that make those aren't desperately signing up for contests...because they need no validation...they have been there over 40, 50, and 60 years....
Stay in your lane.....this isn't it...obviously

Been to Porto's many times. And, it is a great bakery. They have the best Chimichurri I have ever had. But, the reality is, the best Cuban Sandwiches are in Florida. And, the truth is, Porto's sandwiches aren't even the best in California...

Never been to porto's... The one in Buena park always has a long line. But my niece brought me some potato balls and croquettes from there... Pretty good.
