Boston - 7 for 39 (17.9%)
Houston - 7 for 44 (15.9%)
To be fair... both teams STILL had a chance to win their Game 7s despite that crappy three point shooting.
So we should expect to see even more of it in our future.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

At one point in the 3rd quarter, Ariza shot a 3 and it was literally half way down and then rimmed out. Curry then shoots a 3 on the other end and it hits front rim, bounces off the backboard and then in.
Story of the game.

It's hard to shift a philosophy and mantra of a team on the fly, perhaps. But Houston's lack of 3 point accuracy combined with their success driving to the hole was pretty glaring. How do you not start going to the rim. At least drive and kick.

The one three pointer that broke the 0-27 streak was off a Gordon drive that led to a wide open Tucker three pointer.

I think their 1st half success was predicated on them making shots, GS missing, and then getting on the fast break.AlaskaHawks wrote:It's hard to shift a philosophy and mantra of a team on the fly, perhaps. When Houston can't buy a bucket and GS is making their shots, it makes it more of a half court game from their standpoint which driving to the rim gets much more difficult

It seems like Abe is saying sometimes, teams shoot really bad, and the valleys of shooting are deeper the more distant you shoot on average.
Powerful thesis Abe. I'll have to think about this.
