Post by FPL »

1) Spurs still get a top 4 seed with Kawhi out
2) Jazz make the playoffs
3) Celtics bounce back and get the 1 seed
4) Harden does not win MVP (taking the field)

(and yes, I realize that there is only ~1/3 of the regular season remaining)

It's odd that we're discussing the "second half" of the season but there are only 20-30 games remaining in the regular season. They should really do the all-star break at the midway point.

In any event,

Cavaliers storm back and take the #1 seed.
Lonzo Ball averages at least 10/8/8 on 45%/38%.
Giannis Antetokounmpo sufers a serious injury.
Spurs and Wolves both fall out of the top-4 in the WC.

You've predicted that for each of the last four seasons with the exception of the year in which the Cavs actually won it though

Jazz end up with the 6th.
Mavs lose enough to get fined again for tanking.
Boston slides to the 4 seed.
Denver ends up 3rd in the west.

Cavs don't make the finals (Is this bold this season)
Spurs don't have homecourt advantage and fail to win 50

If the Rox finish with the 1 seed and Harden has another signature game he should/will win it.

I agree, but Houston has a tough schedule to close out the year:

18 games against teams with winning records in their last 25 games.

I might give it to him even with the two seed though. They probably win at least 60.

Most definitely a tough schedule, but they score enough to have a chance in any given game! Time will tell.
