I've used it and wasn't particularly impressed. Frankly all consumer VR tech that I've used has felt extremely gimmicky to me. I liked Batman: Arkham VR but the novelty of it wore off quickly.

Remember when Madness was sure it was going to take off and be the next greatest thing in gaming and I said it would always be a gimmick.

Hell, Microsoft isn't even entertaining a headset at this point.

It just doesn't lend itself very well to gaming at this point in time. It's nothing that anyone wants to be doing for more than 5-10 minutes.

Nobody wants to wear a huge headset and deal with janky controls for very long. It's cool the first couple times but the appeal wears off after you realize how frustrating it can be.

I got a PS4 Pro for Christmas and I picked up the Doom Bundle yesterday. But just curious, why do you say you need the Pro to use it? Better graphics?


I haven't opened it up yet but I am looking forward to it. I've played a few games in the past and it was fun. I think I will get the moving joysticks and the gun for it.

All games from here on out will be enhanced and made to run at 4K and near 60fps. Getting a system that's wouldn't be able to use all of the features a game can offer seems like a waste to me. To me it would be like still buying DVDs when Blu Ray's are also available. Why wouldn't you upgrade to enjoy the best experience possible?
