Pop indicates that Kawhi Leonard....

Post by AlaskaHawks »

Returning this year would be a "Surprise"

Likely done for the season. Hasn't played since Jan 13th.

Shame.

It's a weird one.... "Quad injury" is pretty vague and really doesn't seem like it would be as bad as it's been.

His injury and how the Spurs have handled it, is almost as bizarre as Fultz and the 76ers. There's just too much mystery around it to be the only problem with it.

Listening to Sports Radio the other day and they had a Philly guy on.
His thought was that since they're playing well, they're keeping Fultz out on purpose. That in addition to the mental block Fultz seems to have right now with his shot .

It was good seeing Fultz there the other night to Support IT in his jersey retirement though.

There seems to be a decent chance Kawhi could be gone.

Kawhi doesn’t want to play another game for Cuckovich.

He’s going to the Clippers next year.

I really hope the injury isn't career-altering.

On the bright side, even though he has tremendous physical tools, Kawhi isn't a super athlete or a player whose game is predicated on crazy athleticism, so he should return at close to 100% as long as the issue is fixable.

Man though, don't want to imagine it, but it would be a huge loss if this is it for him, or he isn't the same.

I was thinking the same thing.

It's just a hard one to make sense of as far as how to diagnose the severity and the future implications.

Hoping for the best moving forward.

I think we'll finally get to see if Kawhi is legit a superstar or someone that's thrived in a Pop system.

I read an article the other day that said if Cleveland knows Lebron is gone, they should do a straight trade with the Spurs and do Lebron for Kawhi. I'm really curious how either of the those teams would do if there was a straight trade.

Couldn't agree more.

I always like guys who just go about their business and are pro's pros and don't have that hey "look at me" shit with the stomping their chest and that type of bullshit. He's so easy to root for.

Isn't that kind of what he's doing right now?
