The setback the past few years was ALWAYS his health. He actually made through 4 rounds pain-free last tournament. If he can do it again this week...my optimism will be pretty high on him. There's no reason to think that, if healthy, he can't get back to a form that is competitive on the PGA.

Didn't see any of it, but he doubled a par 5. He's got to own the par 5s. That's where he used to make the most hay and he's really struggled with par 5s on a relative basis for a while now. Followed it up with another bogey.

He's never played Riviera well. I don't think he's ever won there and for a tournament he's played about a dozen times, that's a rarity.

This may or may not be the one where he wins... but he's only been "back" for 3 tournaments. He will eventually win, and that will upset you also.
