If Melo comes to the Bulls its because he thinks its his best shot to win a championship out of all the possible open teams. He has stated before that he respects Thibs and listed him specifically as one of the reasons to come here.

Meaning, Melo knows what he would be signing up for and wants a championship if he comes to Chicago. Thibs has gotten every player who comes here to play D and play hard. As a result these players have in turn gotten paid elsewhere.
