They didn't exactly light it up in the playoffs compared to other great teams. They lost to Delly twice in the finals.

'85 Lakers.

The '99 Spurs should be an option at this point.

Kinda funny that the GOAT and his 11 title teams (probably 12 if not injured in the 57 finals) in 13 years is not represented, but Wilt, who went 1-7 against him, will get the nod.

I don't think it's inconceivable to say Russell is the superior player but Wilt played on the best team of that era. That's not even to say I agree with that, but I'm not sure it's egregious.

It's not egregious at all. It's extremely ironic though, and possibly a little sign of disrespect for Russell. Russell cared when it really mattered to care. Like game 7 of the 62 finals when he went for 30 points and 40 boards. First time of many he broke Laker hearts.

No and no. Russell homer. J/K. You do have a point. Should a Russell lead team be higher?

It was 58 mang and I was the one who suggested the Russell teams that need to be included.

That 1 win by Wilt's 76ers is pretty freaking impressive though.

In all context, was it really? He was kind of imitating Russell to make it happen.

How did the board get Number 1 so wrong?

I'm still embarrassed.

Number one is right but 96 Bulls should have gotten two.

Maybe so but solely on team success (68-13 regular season, 11-4 postseason), that team was damn impressive. Winning at an 84% clip was unheard of at that time.

That's not a knock on Russell's Celtics at all. It's simply an example of a talented team finding lightening in a bottle...if just for one season.

Your selection in this round is who beat the '99 Spurs out.

Yo Grizz the fact that you haven't even voted for one of those Celtics teams yet should answer your question. There is not one single season team that stands out. Make the case for one.

I haven't voted in several rounds. I've lost interest.

Even though they won't for a while I'm going with the 97 Bulls. 69 wins, the GOAT, another top 15-25 player of all time, Rodman, kukoc. Defeated 3 56 plus win teams in the playoffs to the tune of a 15-4 playoff record.

Honestly the 92 and 97 Bulls, 00 and 01 Fakers, 13 Heat, 14 Spurs and 15 Warriors would absolutely rape the 67 sixers.

This is where I'm confused. I guess we're not voting based on talent :noidea:
Prime Wilt did not have talent?
