So a 5th Superbowl would make Tom Brady the undisputed GOAT, right?

Or is he already there and another one is just icing on the cake?

I have him at #1 now. I think a 5th cements that...but I know some won't put him there because of the cheater Patriots stuff.

If the argument was between Joe and Brady, then Brady has been the greater of the two for some time. The Seattle Superbowl put the icing on the cake ahead of Joe.

So yes, he the GOAT by the majority standards.

Some people here act like Montana won 11 Super Bowls.

Of course accomplishments don't count when you bring up older players... Because Johnny U would be ahead of both.

Brady could be going for SB #7 if it weren't for Eli.

GOAT 'player' or QB...?

Regardless, the answer is no, in either case: Walter Payton was a better player... and Montana played in a much tougher era AND he didn't have to cheat to win.

He's already the greatest ever, he's much better than Montana, who isn't even top 5.

Not to argue against your opinion. But the defense and the interception won the game for the Pats, not Brady.

Brady is most likely already the GOAT, but another ring would cement it, at least so it seems to me. His longevity puts him over the top; his first SB ring was 15 years ago, but here he still is.

Brady threw for 3 scores and almost 400 yards. Of course he was just as important in that win as the defense was.

Eric Dickerson was better than Walter Payton.
Jim Brown was significantly better than either.

Greater, yes. He wasn't a significantly better player than Eric though. Eric was a world class sprinter at 6'3 220 lbs that was a solid receiver just like Jim was.

The ridiculous part is Brady still seems to be getting better rather than regressing.

The greatest "player" of all-time? That's a HIGHLY subjective question. Since the QB slot is far and away the most important position in the game, it would be hard to place any player from a different position in the "Greatest Player" category. I consider Barry Sanders to be the greatest RB of all-time (bring it on, haters), but a RB simply can't make enough of a difference to be a complete game changer in the wins column.

Think of how stupid the average person is, and realize half of them are dumber than that.

It's really not, though.....and you proved that in your response.
