I think that the key is doing productive things while staying busy. The partying and hanging out with the boys are nice, but that isn't really productive.

I went through a really bad breakup my junior year in college and "distracted" myself with my schoolwork. I ended up getting my highest gpa that year. That in itself was very satisfying.
