All good... let him take the 'meaningless regular season' to get back to MVP form for the playoffs.Madnessssss wrote:Cool and then he'll just need a couple months to get his rhythm back
Does "mvp form" consist of losing to LeBron and shooting under 40% from the field and under 30% from the three?thedangerouskitchen wrote:All good... let him take the 'meaningless regular season' to get back to MVP form for the playoffs.Madnessssss wrote:Cool and then he'll just need a couple months to get his rhythm back
Sounds like a GREAT plan.
In the last 4+ years Derrick Rose has suffered a torn ACL in his left knee requiring surgery, a torn meniscus in his right knee, then a RE-tear meniscus requiring surgery 10 games into his return (from the first meniscus tear), an orbital fracture requiring surgery, and a plethora of sprains and strains to his hamstring, toe, ankleS, knees, et al.vcsgrizzfan wrote:While the OP is clearly just trolling, using Alpha to describe Rose at this point is beyond even something Artie would say.

Hard to imagine him being any worse anyways.
Kobe shot 40% in 4 Finals series', playing alongside Shaq (who was routinely drawing the double-triple team)... 2011 Rose had Boozer, Asik, and Noah to take the Defensive attention off him.Madnessssss wrote:40% from the field and 25% from 3thedangerouskitchen wrote:Madnessssss wrote: Yeah he very well could be just as good in the playoffs this year as he was in the playoffs his MVP year.

Rose's 2011 playoff numbers were on par with Chucky Bryant... only difference is Rose had Carlos Boozer and Keith Bogans instead of an All-Star / HOF Front Count like Kobe played alongside his entire career (drawing the double teams and taking attention away from Chucky, while opponents routinely double-triple teamed Rose).
Unstoppable
Bottom line: Kobe had THE most unstoppable Offensive Big Man in modern NBA history (taking the defensive attention off him), and later an All Star FC (in Gasol / Bynum / Odom)... and he STILL shot 40% in the Finals.Madnessssss wrote:Rose has never been to the finals. But we do know that in the eastern conference finals he shot 35% from the field and 23% from 3.thedangerouskitchen wrote:Kobe shot 40% in 4 Finals series', playing alongside Shaq (who was routinely drawing the double-triple team)... 2011 Rose had Boozer, Asik, and Noah to take the Defensive attention off him.Madnessssss wrote: 40% from the field and 25% from 3
Unstoppable
Kobe has had great finals perfoemances and countless great series against elite teams such as the Spurs.
Rose has never had a good performance for a series against any elite team in the playoffs his entire career.
Butler and Gasol weren't on the 2011 Bulls... and Noah / Gibson combined aren't (and certainly weren't in 2011) anywhere even remotely close to the Offensive powerhouse that was Shaq.Madnessssss wrote:Rose has had allegedly legendary defender Noah, the superstars (according to you) taj Gibson, Jimmy butler, pau Gasol, and more.thedangerouskitchen wrote:Bottom line: Kobe had THE most unstoppable Offensive Big Man in modern NBA history (taking the defensive attention off him), and later an All Star FC (in Gasol / Bynum / Odom)... and he STILL shot 40% in the Finals.Madnessssss wrote: Rose has never been to the finals. YOU brought up his performance in the 2011 playoffs... stay on point, Kobe Kid.Madnessssss wrote:They were on the team last year. His 2011 playoffs performance was Finals Kobe-esque... we already established that.Madnessssss wrote:His 2011 performance was god awful and all his playoff performances have been god awful. Nothing alpha about rose at all, unless he buys a gay little convertible alpha romeaothedangerouskitchen wrote:Could be back on the court tomorrow:
