Here lies Los Angeles Clipper Basketball, proud owner of three cute 1st Round Postseason Titles, & a near.500 record in their final deathbed season before it mediocres itself into it's final ultimate resting place.

"LOB CITY"
"CLIPPER TOWN"
"CLIPPER DARYL"
"MARCELLUS WILEY"

It's funny because if you go onto other sports boards and bring this up you get downvoted and treated like garbage. "Clipper Nation" has someone managed to condition their entire fanbase and those nearby to treat this team like they're the greatest thing in the history of SoCal sports, when all they do now is look pretty during the season then fold like a deck of cards when the games matter more. They're the Bulls of the West. Kenny Smith said it best really "if you thought you were good enough beat these Warriors, you wouldn't have made 8 (offseason) changes."

For a team who's supposed to be entering their golden age and a period of title contention (according to their bandwagon base), these are some lofty goals.

I think they MIGHT be a threat. It's possible, maybe. But Paul has to get healthy and play better.

No shit? I wasn't connecting the dots at first. But I forgot you go that far back, Toronto = Buffalo = Clippers

I lived in L.A. for a long while and would see them in San Diego and when they moved up north.

Lance Stephenson gave them his best offensive game of the season last night (but defensively almost fouled out). If they can get something out of that SF position, and some consistency from Redick/Crawford (which at this point in their careers, I wouldn't hold my breath for),,,,,,,,,, nevermind there's way too many "ifs" to list, they're fucked bro, and we know it.

I ain't even gon'front, there was a time when I absolutely dug the Clipps, especially as a big fan of Baron Davis.

With pieces like Eric Gordon who I loosely followed at IU as a freshman with all the national attention he recieved, and promising lightning quick rookie Eric Bledsoe, Aminu, serviceable Rasual Butler, even Mo Williams came along while they'd also just landed Blake Griffin, I was on board. I genuinely pulled for them to be a respectable team. Of course with the arrival of Chris Paul, it all went out the muahfuggin door like a god damn jet vac. Just in one swoop, they became one of the more unlikeable teams in the league for me. The rise of "Clipper Nation" and their overly vocal claims that LA was finally a Clipper town, only added to my newfound dislike for this team.

I am. In fact, I'm gonna call Marcellus Wiley today to let him know.

Is Griffin better than Lebron yet. I swear someone on this board made that claim awhile back.
