Can certain Pro-Life people answer this question?
How can you believe that:
A) Abortion is literally murder against a human being, AND
B) Violence in the name of defense of another is acceptable, AND
C) Believe that physically aggressing against people performing abortions is explicitly morally incorrect
That is, how can you believe all these things in combination?

I'm asking how you can believe all of those things in combination, not individually.
I changed my OP to reflect that.

Killing babies is wrong period. Crazies going in to the planned parenthood shooting everyone up is also wrong.

It's more than acceptable to resort to physical action against abortion performers in my opinion, not excessive action however.

Too... much... logic.
I personally don't believe all those things in combination.

Right, but what if the guy simply killed the abortion doctor?King Deez wrote:Killing babies is wrong period. Crazies going in to the planned parenthood shooting everyone up is also wrong.

The doctor is literally committing murder, according to some people.Kobeunderbite wrote:It's more than acceptable to resort to physical action against abortion performers in my opinion, not excessive action however.
What would be excessive in that situation?

It depends but preventing the murder without compromising the doctor's life would be ideal.

Re: Can certain Pro-Life people answer this question?
I do believe abortion is the murder of innocents, and I also believe that it is morally acceptable to use force to protect those who can't protect themselves. I further believe that murdering abortionists is morally reprehensible in this respect: if our end goal is to have abortion (murder) outlawed, then anything done that hinders that cause is a moral negative. Murdering abortionists certainly hinders the cause, by bolstering the narrative that the pro-life movement are a bunch of raging loonies. I'd compare it to John Brown and abolitionists. His raid on Harper's Ferry, while perhaps morally justified, didn't really help to further the abolitionist ultimate agenda. Instead, it confirmed to many Southerners that the abolitionist movement was dangerous and violent.
It's not a perfect comparison, but I hope you get my drift.

Re: Can certain Pro-Life people answer this question?
The alternative to that would be (again, if you believe the things A and B above) explicitly allowing someone to murder without response.King Deez wrote:

I'm not really arguing for that, but I'm curious as to the reasoning of the "I think abortion is murder, but I condemn the killer of the (in their eyes) murderer".
It seems like one of those areas where (usually) Christians don't want to extend themselves to the level of their beliefs would dictate, for the sake of social acceptability.
