Post by Havlicekstealsit »

20 year old rookie Porzingis per 100 possessions: 25.1ppg, 17rpg, 3.5bpg, TS% .514.

24 year old 2nd year Mirotic per 100: 24.5ppg, 12.5rpg, 0.5bpg, TS% .544.

Both good players.

I'll take Porzingis due to his having a higher ceiling.

Porzingis looks to have a real future in the NBA. Mirotic is basically the player he will always be.

Plus Porzingis has already gotten this out of his system...

Porzingis is already better despite being 4 years younger.

Right now, probably a toss up. But Porzingis all day and every day for the future, excluding injuries of course - cough, cough...

Porzingis' stats are already better than Mirotic's.

Porzingis was the 4th pick of the draft, while Niko was the 23rd. I know you're trying to troll but obviously NBA experts feel Portzingis will be very talented. Meanwhile Niko was more of a value pick.

May have to do a cost/benefit analysis of having to suck so bad in trying to get a player of Porzingis caliber vs remaining competitive and acquiring a lesser talented but still very good 23rd pick who matures oversees for 4 years.

Another interesting thing to consider (and I don't know the answer to this question): where would Mirotic have been drafted if he'd been allowed to come over the same year he was drafted like Porzingis?

Ok someone finally caught KP but he has done this to many players and whole frontlines.

Porzingis looks pretty good. Mirotic hasn't done much even thought he's been given a huge opportunity this year.

In what sense? Role, perhaps? Their respective mpg aren't terribly different...

Pecking order....types of players around them, team styles of play/system...expectations team wise...I don't think it would look too pretty for Niko regardless....
