Nice article. Kudos to Artie for posting BBall content.

Sounds like the rim for Rose (sorry man, couldn't resist).

I've developed a really deep dislike for the guy. I think a lot of it has to do with the fact that my career/personal finances were once held hostage by a shitty owner and a mental midget "franchise player." As much as Monta ticked me off, he at least kept his mouth shut-- Rose routinely slaps the organization and the fans that made him rich in the face with his comments. When players like him say those sorts of things, it kills the Front Office staff the next day and beyond, from the PR department to the Sales staff and Services staff (trying to sell new season tickets, corporate sponsorships, suites, renewing all of the above, etc.).

I think it's pretty clear that Rose's mentality isn't totally into helping this team win a championship and if you aren't in it to win it then what is the point of keeping you?

I get that ultimately money is the biggest thing for these guys-- it's entertainment for us, but it's a job for them. It's their livelihood.

That said, what about taking pride in your work and doing right by your employer? The Bulls made Rose a very, very wealthy man with the expectation that he would do everything he could to take them to the next level. As you said, helping the Bulls win is obviously nowhere close to Rose's top priority...and to make matters worse, he's made sure that everyone knows it (at the very least, he could shut up).
