The gist of the argument centered on how the Flaming Liberals have spent DECADES brainwashing blacks (and minorities overall) into believing that they NEED the government to take care of them.. the hidden, underlining message, of course, is the notion that they aren't good/smart/capable enough to take care of themselves. Hence, this is why Democrats are always pushing FREE stuff for the "less fortunate".

The host (who is white) was ripping the flaming liberal whites, accusing them of purposely holding down minorities with this aforementioned brainwashing, and then coming across as 'the saviors', ready and willing to save them with Government hand-outs and free rides. The host was clearly upset because he claimed so many minorities just don't 'get it'.... they think the Flaming Liberals are their friends, when in reality they are the minorities' worse enemy.

Interestingly enough the overwhelming majority of callers into the show were black folks, and they ALL agreed with this notion.

The trailer is a fucking joke. It seriously looks like the onion made a quick video for a parody.

What's ridiculous is that the whole "war zone" angle is only played up for the media and their ratings. Nevermind the fact that violent crimes and homicide have actually been cut in half since the 80s and 90s. According to the media this is a new problem and it's the worst it's ever been.

Also, according to per capita statistics, Chicago is not even in the top 100 in terms of most violent and dangerous cities in America. Apparently, you are more in danger in a city of 1000 with 5 homicides than a city of 100 with 4 homicides.

Yeah I read the criticisms, and can only assume Spike (a Knicks fan) still hates Chicago because Jordan tore out his heart so many times.



That aside, what's also interesting is that the overwhelming majority of violent crimes / homicides in Chicago come from just 3 zip code areas. The link below gives an idea of just how 'isolated' these crime areas are, considering Chicago has 77 zip codes:

It wasn't what people expected. The movie is actually based on some old Greek story set in the modern day Chicago hood. People were expecting a Boyz N Da Hood style reality hood drama.
