Jabbar was 5 years older, had played 8,000 more NBA minutes, and played 3 years of college ball (about another 3,000 minutes).

Not equal comparisons.

And LO fucking L @ 25/5/5. :lol:

Parish's 20th season: 72 wins, NBA champion.
Kareem's 20th season: 57 wins, lost Finals
Willis' 20th season: 57 wins, lost WC semis
Kobe's 20th season: if they're lucky, 32 wins and another high lottery pick.

kareem = 0 international competitions

kobe = 3 runs to a gold medal

and kareem was a big man, less movement, less heavy running for 20 years

and kareem was able to lay back and take it easy for half his career playing with 3-4 other HOF'rs at a time as his teams 3rd and 4th leading scorer

kobe definitely has more of a work load on his knees than kareem did

thus ... the 5+ knee surgeries/procedures

and all 3 of those other guys were their teams 6th best player or worse at the time

kobes still his teams most dominant player and #1 option

If a 20 year vet needs to be the #1 alpha dog on offense there's no way in hell theyre gonna be anything but a lottery team. But hey the stats are way more important, right?

I'll bet you my house against your cardboard box that Kobe isn't on an All-NBA team this year.

Yeah, Kobe could average seven points per game and he'd be on the AS team. It's the Yao Ming Effect.
