Gervin > Iverson
Gervin had more All-NBA team selections in fewer seasons than AI, also was a more explosive, efficient scorer.
That said Iverson makes for a good selection at 29.

Yes, Gervin is good here.
Taking a break from the board. Please reference my last post for more details if you are interested.

Even though he's a current player and he's been discussed quite a bit on these boards, I would like to discuss Chris Paul more.
- legit 2-way player
- most consistent scoring and distributing point guard over an extended period of time since Magic Johnson

From a stats standpoint and pure playing ability....he probably should have already been selected. His lack of playoff success drops him down A LOT.

Not that I'm disagreeing one bit, but just how far should he fall due to his lack of team success in the playoffs when he's got playing ability and stats in his favor?Robceltsfan wrote:y2ktors wrote:Even though he's a current player and he's been discussed quite a bit on these boards, I would like to discuss Chris Paul more.

I'm not opposed to Gervin going at this spot but I don't see another candidate on the ballot having a strong a case for the next spot as Paul.

It's hard to get people's minds off of things like "ring(s)", "Finals appearances", "MVP", "DPOY", etc.
Unfortunately for CP3....he has none of those. I do, however, think he's one of the best PGs of all-time. Good luck getting some of the peeps here to vote for him though.
