There's a few large fires going now but nothing out of the ordinary. We'll get our rain this fall/winter when El Niño hits.

talk to the helicopter engineers. they don't make anything that will do that effectively yet. 99.9% of California wildfires are NOT located within 30 minutes flight time of the Pacific Ocean.

We got rain like 2 days ago and have been getting substantial rain every 2 weeks or so for the last couple months.

Florida has had their fair share of wildfires. Probably not to the extent of it seemingly being a yearly thing like California, but still.

Just left Sacramento, many of the plants are scorched. It's fairly Brown.

Going to Yosemite tomorrow, it's still open. Not that any of you care about the opinion of someone who is actually here or anything.

I remember leaving Tampa from visiting friends from uni in NC that transferred to USF back in 2001-02 to go back home to Orlando. We got wrecked the night before in Ybor and I left early morn the next day thinking it'd be smooth sailing. I got stuck on I-4 for ages; couldn't see more than 10 yards ahead due to smoke. I was hung over; it sucked.
