What exactly is super-duper courageous about developing cancer (not related to courage), fighting for your life (don't the overwhelming majority of people in that spot? ), and dying (everyone does) ?
The only aspects of that which touches agency is fighting your life, which is basically the expression of an evolved survival mechanism and not even remotely unique to those guys, or people who get cancer in general.
