I live in Shanghai, fool, and am well off enough to choose what I want to eat or not. I don't eat at gutter oil places or street food.

I really advise you guys to watch that short video i linked and see what swamp is shoving down his gullet every day.

Id never live there.

Korea is like a clean pristine paradise compared to that garbage country.
I'm betting that you don't like dogs, Clevetown.
Love dogs. Golden retrievers #1, Labs #2 dalmations #3
Did you have a Dalmatian growing up, or is this a sentimental Disney thing?

I only ask because Goldens and Labs are extremely similar, but Dalmations have definite differences from both of the aforementioned breeds.

Dalmatian's are stupid. The imbred breeding of this dog in the state of MO made this dog impossible to buy in the 80's.

Gator is a German Short Hair, right?

Do you ultimately want more of the same breed, or do you want to mix it up?
He is likely a mix GSP and Lab. I've detailed before how he was being trained to be a sniffer dog, but failed out due to being scared of loud noises. That kennel sells the rejects.

I'm partial to bird dogs, especially English Setters (had a few in the past), so I'll likely look to rescue one or two of those.

These were my boys in the states prior to going overseas. Picture taken the morning after Hurricane Charley ripped through Central FL:

Very cool.

Including my years growing up (so they were technically my parent's dogs), I've had a ton of different mixes and pure breads.

-a Beagle/Lab mix

-a Golden Retriever/Yellow Lab mix

-a Great Dane/Yellow Lab mix

-a German Shepherd/Black mix (current, in my avatar)

-a purebred Australian Shepherd

-a purebred Vizsla

-purebred Lhasa Apsos

-a purebred Golden Retriever (current, in my avatar)

I would love to get another Vizsla or Great Dane, although I wouldn't rule out ending up with another mix...
Wow, lots of different breeds there. I can see that you are a dog person for sure. It takes a special spouse to be with our kind.

My cousin has a couple of vizlas. I'd consider a weimereiner, if I didn't already have Gator. I'll focus on English Setter rescue when I come home, however.

Yes. I had a dalmation named "Speck" when I was 5. Loved that dog.

Did you guys treat it like a member of the family, or was it just tied up in the back yard like typical Ks do with dogs?

it came in seldomly. we had a huge back yard and a shed with an amchair in there that he would always sleep in. He loved it out there.

My wife is in to the high end food also. Bison and rice at the moment.
I made some fresh food for the dogs. They go nuts for it.
Pork, beef liver, brown rice, sweet potato, broth, broccoli, spinach, eggshell, egg.
It was a bit of work to grind it all, but it froze well, and it sure beats most kibble.

I can't believe you Cleve, leaving your dog outside in the freezing Cleveland winter. Despicable.

Yes I own a new Kia Sorento SUV but I choose not to drive in this country they drive on the right side of the road what the rules are a little different and I'm not comfortable driving... too many cars on the road. I'm trying to survive my stay in Korea before going home
