For other shit tou went to specialty record stores that would have all the punk or hardcore and reggea etc...seperated and a much larger variety.
Either way..you could always find what you wanted...the good stores all had record player stations or dvd stations later on..where you could wear the big headphones and listen before you bought the music.
Was far more interactive back then and fun..trips to the record store were great
