I hate this behind the hitter camera angle. Get it out behind the pitcher like usual.

I like the timed format a lot better. It forces them to swing.

I'd like to think ESPN introduced the clock to speed up the contest. But then the 45-second TO/commercials came up. :L

I blame that loss on Kris Bryant's dad by the way. That was some shitty pitching by him. Should've just had his pitching coach or someone.

Well that format worked really well. Created a lot of extra drama in pretty much every round. Frazier wins it in OT for the home crowd.

I know incorporating any type of clocks into baseball will piss off the purists, but we wouldn't have had the drama in tonight's derby if guys were still allowed to be selective with their pitches.

He did, his pitcher totally cheated though. Not supposed to release pitches until the previous ball landed and Frazier was cracking HR's before the previous pitch landed. Gave him a huge advantage because they didn't do shit about it. Also got a couple HR's that fans reached over the fence and caught or tried to catch but they still gave it to him. At the very least exciting though.

Yeah but the only reason they have that rule is so they don't kill the kids in the outfield looking up to catch a fly ball and then he scorches a lines drive at someone. I say get rid of those idiot kids. No one wants to see 50 kids trying to catch a ball. Let them throw as many pitches as they want.
