I saw Jurassic World last night (no spoilers)

Post by Ghostown42 »

The acting was absolute, total garbage by everyone in the film except Chris Pratt, who pulled off the "dinosaur behavior expert" role quite well. The dinosaurs were done pretty well, and there were quite a few Easter eggs that made me smile. I know we don't go to disaster thrillers for the acting, but the dreadful acting and extraneous subplots took away a lot from the enjoyment of the movie.

Give me your address. I will send you $100 so you can go see about 5 movies in a nice theater.
LOL. That 100 bucks would take me to the casino. But thanks for the offer. :suds:

I got to be honest, I thought the Jurassic Park movies were terrible.

I'll go see it soon but I'm not expecting it to be a great movie. It says it will most likely be the 3rd highest opening ever behind the Avengers movies...somewhere in the 180-190 million range.

The original is amazing.

It was the only one that was any good at all. It was actually way ahead of it's time. The rest of the series was awful though. unwatchable imo.

Critiquing awkward scenes with terrible acting is not nit-picking. Did you see the movie? If so, you should know what I'm talking about.

The action was enjoyable. The dinosaurs were enjoyable, especially the raptors.

Hopefully, all the characters in the movie were eaten.

All those stupid naive gullible "owh my gawd!" derp derp dumb asses that thought it would be cute and fun to toy around with dinosaurs.

Those movies are horrible.

They actually opened the door for more sequals unlike the jurassic park series. Pratt is signed on for more.

Took my son yesterday as well....been his favorite movies since he was old enough to know what a movie was......your post was spot on IMO......it was hard to say the acting/characters were bad....outside the "raptor behavior expert" he was very good(but they may have been a tallst midget illusion).....because there really was no acting to speak of. it's like they watered down characters from the previous ones and changed the faces/jobs a little and voila.....the "effects" were far from good enough to carry the day as well.

It was mediocre and I kept getting distracted by realizing who different actors played in different stuff especially Kingpin on Netflix.

This movie outperforming Ultron domestically has damaged my faith in the American people.
