At this point you can't go wrong with either one. It's not like one is miles ahead of the other. Hopefully the voting reflects that.

Durant will still get it due to voter fatigue.

In a marathon race, I'd say LeBron is winning by about 1 second after this unbelievable performance.

I get legs mixed up with Bucher, the latter is the basketball maven who said Derrick Rose is better than LeBron James.

Obviously James is not going to drop 60 every night but if he keeps playing like he has lately and Durant keeps playing like he has lately the Heat will have the better record and James will have posted better over all numbers at the end of the regular season.

LeBron is going to pass KD in PER before the seasons over...looked impossible a month ago...he's playing better right now than KD has all season.WiseGuy wrote:sportswise1 wrote:I think Durant will win it --and deserves it

I disagree. But Lebron closed the gap last month considerably.
I'm a baaaddd motherfucker!!
Re: Tim Legler said LeBron has passed Durant as the MVP fav.
I don't agree. Durant had too large an advantage for too long, IMO. He is making up some ground, but that's it.
Moreover, Lebron will be probably fighting against "The Jordan Effect" to some degree, given that has won so much in recent years.
He has to clearly exceed Durant's case to win MVP. If it is close, I am fairly confident they will go with Durant.

Fans don't vote but they see they see the same thing the voters do. What was once a lopsided advantage for The Butler is no more and is turning into an advantage for His Majesty:
http://espn.go.com/sportsnation/poll/co ... id/4214525" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false;
As I have stated if The Butler keeps playing like he has recently been playing and his team's play remains in the doldrums and His Majesty keeps playing like he has been recently playing and his team's play remains in the stratosphere His Majesty will win the MVP again.
Pity The Butler. Always a bridesmaid and never a bride.

Re: Tim Legler said LeBron has passed Durant as the MVP fav.
I always find ESPN's "experts" to be amusing come the Finals. Here has been Legler's predictions the past couple Finals:
2013: Heat in 7.
2012: Thunder in 6.
2011: Heat in 7.
2010: Celtics in 6.
2009: Lakers in 6.
2008: Celtics in 7.
3-3. Not bad, expert Tim. BTW Legler was the only one of the 10 "experts" that picked the Celtics to win in '08. Abbott & Stein picked the Lakers in 5. Math nerd Hollinger had the Lakers in 6.

Predicting short series between two evenly matched (or close) teams is a fool's errand basically.Havlicekstealsit wrote:I always find ESPN's "experts" to be amusing come the Finals. Here has been Legler's predictions the past couple Finals:

Who wins the MVP has more to do with Westbrook and Wade...those two can either help or hinder their guy during this final stretch...so which guy do u think will assist his guy to win the award and which guy do u think will let some envy creep in and become a hinderance?...I think Wade genuinely wants LeBron to get all the accolades he's getting...on the other hand, I believe Westbrook still has a problem deferring and it will hurt Durant down the stretch...I could be wrong, but I don't think so...we shall see it play out
